Although the founding women were American expatriates, AWN welcomes women of all nationalities.

AWN is free to join, and no membership fee is charged. All our clubs are also free to join. However, some clubs may charge an activity fee to cover green fees or court costs, such as Golf and Tennis, venue rental, such as Bridge and Mahjong, on a pay-to-play basis.

Members and non-members are welcome to the Coffee and Speakers Series as well as the Coffee Social. During our Coffee Mornings, non-members will have the opportunity to join AWN, if they wish to do so.

Participation in all other AWN Social Events, Activity Clubs and Explorers, is reserved for AWN members only. However, if there is a member with an out-of-town female guest, the guest may attend activities, on a space available basis, for up to two weeks. If more than two weeks, the guest may register as a member and sign up for the activities to participate. Priority will always be given to members. 

All non-member guests are requested to sign up using their own email. 

AWN is a women-only organization. Therefore, no males are allowed to sign up for any of our events or activities. Occasionally, we host special events for couples and these are clearly specified.

As much as we love children, all AWN events and activities are adults-only (18 and up), except otherwise specified.

AWN provides a range of activities for its members to suit diverse interests. Outdoor enthusiasts can participate in Golf, Tennis and Walking Club while indoor game lovers can enjoy a game of Bridge, Mahjong and Padel. For those with a creative flair, we offer the Art Club as well as the Stitches and Needles group. Additionally, if you enjoy social outings, food and literature, our monthly events include the Foodies Club, Book Club, and Social Club. 

We strongly encourage you to join one or several of our clubs. Participation is on a come-when-you-can basis. 

Once you join our AWN Connect Community WhatsApp group with the QR Code, you can select the clubs you want to be part of and you will begin receiving notifications from the club coordinator.

​AWN wishes you much success with your business. Many of our members have thriving businesses and successful entrepreneurial ventures. However, AWN is not permitted to promote or endorse any business and we kindly ask our members to refrain from doing so in an open forum.

Smile! Photos and videos are taken at AWN events and coffee mornings and are used in our newsletters, social media, website and AWN-related publications. By becoming a member or attending AWN events, you agree to have your picture taken. Please let the event coordinator know if you want to avoid being photographed. AWN is not responsible for photographs or videos taken by its members.

​AWN publishes a monthly newsletter to all its members on the 1st day of each month. The newsletter is the primary communication vehicle for upcoming Coffee Mornings, events and activities. Individual events and activities carry their own cancellation guidelines. Please, refer to individual Club’s announcements, Eventbrite ticket announcements or speak with the Club coordinator.

AWN is an entirely volunteer-run organization. Therefore, it is heavily dependent on our amazing and committed volunteers in order to achieve our goal of fostering culture and friendship through various activities and social events.
