Join us for a unique visit to Tashkeel, a centre that provides a nurturing environment for the growth of contemporary art and design practice rooted in the UAE. In the afternoon, we will tour the iconic dhow-shaped building of the Dubai Opera, designed as a tribute to the maritime history, the culture and the subsequent development of Dubai. Each and every architectural detail has a story behind it and on this tour, you will learn all about what inspired Danish architect, Janus Rostock, to come up with such a remarkable design. We will also explore the backstage life of Dubai Opera and discover the hidden world of a theatre! Areas covered by the tour include the auditorium, backstage areas, dressing rooms, piano and trap room, sound room and the rarely seen seat storage area when the auditorium transforms into flat floor mode. This tour has only a few spaces left. Please note that your reservation is not confirmed until payment is made. To reserve your place please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
